Anyone have any experiences with the Spin Right Spinners? Size is 2 1/4" aluminum.

Thanks

Swager, I have used them with good results. The center socket head bolt is metric.

Just what's a spinner purpose? Are they just for the looks and to save some props?

a spinner is there to clean up the prop hub in regards to aerodynamics. They also help direct cooling air into the cowling.

I heard Tru Turn is very good and very seldom do you have to trim a spinner, even with a APC prop.

R8893, did you have to trim the spinner so your prop could fit?

Thanks

They are also there for safety!
AMA requires something to prevent a bolt end from leading your charge
in case you hit someone. An acorn nut is acceptable.
Here I am in agreement with AMA.

Not all spinners meet AMA requirements. I forget the exact number, but I think the minimum radius for the point on the spinner is 1/4". That number might be wrong, but some spinners are obviously too pointy.
