Hi everybody. I have three flight boxes. I have been given a nice old SIG flight box I have fixed up. What I want to do is make it my nmain box. One I have my batteru and starter two drawers and a gallon of fuel. The other I have all my tools Props repair stuff and a gallon of fuel.
The other ois a OLD plastic one I had when I first dstarted back in the 80's. Ok but not big enough.
What I want to do is have a diagram of the way you guys set yuour up. I want the power panel. I have put new wires to the electric fuel pump that was already on the odl SIG box. Now what i want to do is put my glow plugs and main flight stuff there. I have 3 drawers. I am going to put in a main battery to power the box. I am moving or buying a new starter for it.
I have a lot of ideas. I have seen many. I want to hear from you and give me some ideas. What I want to do is I have 6 planes. I want to be able to work out of that one big SIG box. I am ending up carrying way too much to the field with me and it is being to become a chore and hassle.
I really do not need all thsioe tools brought with me. If I need to dothat kind of work it would be at home anyway....
I will bring the basic tools for the field. I have however am bringing two spare servos, spare wire, plugs props..well you know. So draw me a picture how you have yours set up opr what you suggest how to set up. yopu know a six in one box!
I got my own plans but I would hate to miss a great idea!
Thanks

On mine, the fuel pump is hiden away inside and connects to the power panel from behind. FUel lines come out of my box. One connects to the fuel jug and the other to the plane. My glow charger is also wired in at the back of the starter motor connector. So when the box is on, the charger glows yellow. I don't have much stuff in mine though. Tools are minimal. One to remove my cowl with. Anotehr to adjust my low-end with. A wrench to remove the prop so I can remove the cowl. And a couple glow drivers. Don't like being weighed down with stuff. No glue. No props. No glow plugs even (but that's just cause I ran out).

So 3-D, you hid your Pump? So your tubing plugs in through your power panel? Sounds interesting...thanks
And Geistware, I do have a plastic one too. Jyust got a bigger Wooden one and wnat to use it. It is really big so I want to use it. But I do not want to get weighted down. I am sick of it....Thanks for your input.

If you really need something portable.
Go to WalMart and get a tool box on wheels.
They are about $30 and will carry everything including your fuel.
I have seen a couple of people with these and they hold a lot.
I like it simple, plane, fuel, and transmitter.

You know...my wife said the same thing... of all people. I have seen that too. You are right. I could set everything up have it on wheels and that would be it. Hum. Decisions, decisions...All I wanted was a diagram of how you guys were set up...Now you have set me thinking to change everything and scrap this idea! ....If fact that is why this guy gave it to me. He went plastic like you were saying!
