Did you know Radio Control Planes were invented to give guys an excuse to play with barbie dolls? My favorites are the ones in those real skimpy outfits.

Real cheap ones at the dollar stores... I picked up a fireman with a respirator mask that can be cut down to make a pretty good O2 flight mask.

Watch the weight with "toy store" variety pilots. I looked at some a while back, and after a bit of research, the weight factors helped me decide toy stores were not a decent place to find pilots. Maybe I'm just weight concious too, but I like the unlimited aerobatic planes... so weight does play a factor. Maybe they will work for you and your application though. I did see a few I liked... but the scales said they were.... uh.... FAT!!... well ...maybe "overweight" is a more polite way to put it.

That's what I'm using for my Dreamer Bipe. I'm waiting for her jumpsuit, but she'll look great after I'm done.
Be careful though! I told my Wife I was going to use a Barbie for the pilot and she about had a fit! She doesn't think it's "correct" for a grown man to have that sort of thing in his "toy" a/c. I just think she's jealous because she can't get in herself to fly!

Depends on the type of pilot your looking for.
I got a great Beaker figure from the muppets at toy's-r-us. And I was scoping the cereal isle at the grocery store and found a box of fruit loops with a great Toucan Sam figure.
Just a couple ideas for places to look.
Sometimes you have to buy a full play piece(could think of better word) just to get a $2 figure. I got beaker in a $20 science lab set.

.....just thought I'd chime in here.....
For my 1/8 scale Corsair I went all out and found a 9" Robert Conrad "James West" action figure.
His outfit (if the Mother-in-Law will help) should be done soon.

If you want fun pilots I would raid the kids toy chest. I know my daughter has to have a million happy meal and other junk toys that would make great pilots and many that would weigh almost nothing. Just make sure you raid the toy chest while the kids are at school or with the blessing of your kid. Can you imagine the tragedy of little Suzy coming home to see Daddy with her favorite Barbie in one hand and an exacto knife in the other. OHHH the HORROR!!!!

Below is a picture of Ken in my Funtana. I got him from Wally World. He's the Rio De Janero Ken and was wearing swim trunks and came with the sunglasses. I got the shirt seperately....
For my Tiger 60 I got a pilot from Central Hobbies, the one with the blue shirt and cap, he's slightly smaller than Ken but around 1/6 size.
I've also just discovered that World Models do some pilots in various sizes. I just got one from a shop in Virginia Beach. I got the 50mm pilot, PC001050A, he's just the right size for a 4*40 (I've got the kit in a box and just checked).
The HPPilots are also a good choice, I got a 1/6 Williams for my Kyosho Tiger Moth.
BTW all the suggestions above are prepainted.....
