Default Vortech spinner question?

I can't seem to be able to get my standard 2-blade 2 1/4" Vortech spinner to fit my Saito 72 engine. I plan to use a 13x6 prop, so I was going to have to cut the holes out just a little to make the prop blades fit, which doesn't seem to be a problem. The problem is that the spinner calls for the short 7x1mm adaptor nut (S710-8710) for any spinner 2 1/2" and under, but the adaptor nut won't screw down far enough to even touch the washer that holds the prop up against the backplate. Am I missing something or do I really need the LONG adaptor? I just wanted a nice shiny looking spinner for this thing and Great planes don't even show any adaptor nuts for the Saito 72. Do I have to resort to spending a little more for a Tru-Turn spinner?

Default RE: Vortech spinner question?

Are you using a double jam nut set up? Alway use a double nut with a 4 stroke. That should fix it if you're not already using one.[8D]
