Hi there,

Does any one know where I can get info on building retracts (Manual and air-based)?

Is there any plans for things like this.

I built my own for a scrachbuild project last year. When it was all said and done I probably should have designed the model to accomidate off the shelf retract products.

What is your intended application for the retracts? Perhaps if we knew - it would be possible to give you some suggestions..... It also never hurts to look at the real counterparts of whatever model type you want to build. I don't mind copying boeing, ng or similar pro's...

I used to make my own, but the design was so intricate that it took a CNC milling machine to make them.

(Still the best I've ever used! )

Hi there,

I actually want to use them in a few planes, but the most important one is an F-117a Stealth Fighter.

The thing is I live in South-Africa, and retracts here are to expensive. I am talking about R1400 (+-$218) for two, and then it isn't even air-retracts (Air-Retracts are R4500 (+-$703)).
So I thought it would be best to build my own Retracts, If I get the basic consept of how they work and how to build them I can make them work on any plane.
