Fuse Building Hints
Would like some suggestions as to the best method of ensuring perfectly aligned fuselages formers. I've seen using 90 degree triangles, metal brackets, wing jigs etc. I'm building a model that needs to be perfect. I can't just "wing" this one.
Thanks,
Pat

RE: Fuse Building Hints
ONe method that I have used is to carefully and mark the centerline point on each former. Then draw a long line with a straight edge (I used a steel yardstick) on a piece of paper or if you have an overhead view on your plans use that. I pin each former down matching up the makred center point over the line that I drew.
Once I started that I was able to avoid having to cut and reglue fuselage tails that wound up slightly off center.

RE: Fuse Building Hints
This web site http://webpages.charter.net/rcfu/Con.../FJConstr.html has instructions (and photos) on how to build a fuselage jig. I made one a few years ago. Cost me about $10 for everything. Works great and I would not be without it.
Hope this helps.
