prop selection
I had just got done building Carl Goldberg extreme 330. I have installed a tower hobbies .46 ball bearing motor. This is the most powerful .46 size motor I have come across. I want to have the plane to perform some 3D maneuvers. I have an 12x5 zinger prop in it. It still seems to have a pretty good high speed but maybe a little bogged down when trying to hold a hover or in a harrier attitude. it's understood that the motor has about three tanks of fuel through it and may need to be broken in yet. But my question is out of your experience with planes what would be a better prop selection for this setup ? . should I try a 12x4 or would a 11x4 be a better choice ? I want to be careful as not to over rev the motor. your suggestions would be greately appreciated.
