Default Transparent Covering

I'm using a green transparent covering on a 90" glider. The first piece I put on finished really clear. The second piece has a rippled look on the glue side and seems to show the glue in the open spaces between the ribs. I sealed the ends with an iron and used a blower on the majority of the wing. Did I not get the second piece hot enough, or did I get it too hot? Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Randy

Could just be a defect from the factory. I have used some and the heating didn't really change it. Once it cooled anyway.

My guess is that you did not get it hot enough. I've had a similar experience using transparent monokote that was a few years old. Most of the "lines" would go away if you got it hot enough. There seemed to be a fine line though. A little too hot with the heat gun, and the covering would melt thru.
