Default Robart retract help?

I have a pair of Robart 605 pneumatic retracts installed on a GP Spitfire. Installations was easy, and I seemed to have all the plumbing worked out. The retracts operate nicely up and down, however, it seems like there is some side play. I don't know if it is from the wire struts(which I dont think) or from the case itself. Is this movement indicative of the smaller pneumatics? I guess I just expected a more secure, positive lock down with no play. Any help you can shed on this will be appreciated. Mike
