Default First Place 1.3 CI engine in a Ryan STA ??

Will a First Place engines 1.3 gas engine fit in a Great Planes Ryan STA Arf airplane?
I want a gas engine in my plane...... im wanting to get away from glow... Gas is
more economical and you dont have to lug all the field tools around.
Thanks

Default RE: First Place 1.3 CI engine in a Ryan STA ??

i had a G-23 in my H-9 PT-19 and it was kind of a ***** to fit and mount the cowl, just like your Ryan it has a narrow cowl and you will have to cut it up especially if you don't use a pitts muffler. And then there is the carb and velocity stack sticking out the other side.

The good news is the plane stayed alot cleaner, was MUCH cheaper to fly and very reliable.
