Default Changing Frequency

I want to change the frequency on a JR receiver so that all my radios are on channel 33 (freq 72.450?) I see on the tx that you can just pull the module and switch out the crystal, but how do you change the crystal on a JR receiver?

Thanks

The receiver crystal just pulls out of it's socket. When plugging in the new one it does not matter which way round the pins go in.

Yup.
It's easier to change a receiver crystal, and it's illegal in the US to change a transmitter crystal, although it is legal with a module.

Another thing to consider -- in North America, 72 MHz dual conversion receivers are sold in two frequency bands -- low band up to channel 35, and high band from 36 - 60. The receivers are tuned for max sensitivity in the center of the appropriate band & the manufacturers do not recommend changing crystals across the hi-lo band boundary, or loss of effective range may result. This is probably not a real problem with a "close" switchover, such as a ch 36, 37 or 38 xtal in a low range Rx, but the farther away from the hi-lo boundary you get, the greater the loss of Rx performance.

Britbrat,
That's only true of Futaba and Futaba compatible equipment.
