Default Need Paint for Plastic Parts Please

Does anyone know where I can find a paint for the plastic parts of a GP Ultimate that will color match the Monocote Neon Yellow and Neon Red film? I would prefer it be a spray, but anything fuel proof will do.

Surely someone knows of a paint that will work on plastic parts and is fuel proof. Maybe some kind of automotive paint??

Usuallym, teh autobody 'PPG' paints are good, and used on cowls, etc. I expect they woudl work on plastics as well. SOme autobody shops can and will colour match PPG paints to a sample you provide. They can also put it in a spraycan for you. Just need to shop aropund, and expect to pay for it! We've done it up here!!

Regular 'krylon' paint can be used, if you find teh right shade / hue. And then just give it a 'clear coat' with Lustercoatr, or some other 'varnish'

I assume TF don't have a 'Lustercoat' colour that matches?!

I can't find a color match in Krylon or TF for that Neon Yellow or Red yet. I live in a small town and automotive paint may be my only answer. I just need to find a paint store around here that can try to match it.

I guess that is what I get for trying to build a kit and come up with a highly visible and unique color scheme. I am still building the kit so I have a little time to look. I would have thought that TF would have a match for the Monocote too, but I have yet to find it.

Try looking at the danger/locating neon spray cans at Wal-Mart, then use a gloss overcoat.
