How to sell a design to a manufacturer
I was just curious, and possibly even at least a little serious.
If I had designed a plane with great flying abilities and unique appearance, what is the process
to submit this design to sell to manufacturers?

Try kitting it yourself, and sell your plans online. After the plane gets some recognition you can make a better deal with a manufactuer.Sig can do the laser cutting for you and also check out the other balsa suppliers, some will make dies and also do the die cutting.I know of several small R/C designers that do business that way. There are also several other resources for the landing gear, cowl, wheel pants and wing tubes.Good luck with your design!,,,,,,Slade
Really glad to see some new designers interested in this hobby, getting kind of stale with the Extra's,Edge's and the Ultimate's,thats all you see anymore.

So is this thing Top Secret, or do we get a sneak peek?
Something else you may do is to simply contact the Manufacturers. GP has a place on their website for making suggestions for designs.
Or you may want to try contacting some of the smaller manufacturers like http://www.mosquitobiteplanes.com/
RCU Member "Drexus" (Ken Charron) is their Senior Product Designer. Send him a PM

make sure you take steps to copywrite or at minimum, prove it is your design should some unscrupulous company take a liking to the design and pirate it. there's little you can do if it's snatched and you can't prove you invented it...
