I have a 4*60 with an asp .75 and im using a pylon(or pattern i forget) apc 14x6 prop. I am just starting to fly the plane and dont want to break this 10 dollar prop rigt away, i have a zinger 12x6 can I use this for now? Its pretty fast with the 14x6 but im i dont need fast right now.

12x6 might be a little small for a .75. Check the rpm's before flying it. The black nylon Master Airscrew props are about the best for taking a beating without breaking and fairly cheap.

Use a 13 x 6 APC -

K thx Ill pick up some 13x6's, until then a 14x6 is ok right. And also whats the diff between normal props and the "pylon" or "Pattern" prop I got??

In the case of APC pylon specific props, The hub depth is much thicker to handle the much higher associated rpm's. Also they are produced in a large variety of fractional sizes both diameter and pitch. These props have a molded 'D-1' on the hub face as opposed to the 'C-2' marking of the sport variety.

I've got a couple Magnum .75's. They scream on a 12X6, run great on a 13X6, and bog a little with a 14X6. for the money, the Master Airscrew is about the toughest (but not most effecient) for flying off grass, gravel and runway. APC's, especially the thin ones are very effecient,more expensive and break almost on a blade of grass. The APC wide blades are almost as hardy as the MAS props. Buy what works for you, it's only a hobby, but for most of us it's an obsession.

When you say they scream do you mean they over-rev? How are the speeds with the 12x6's? I noticed it was a little sluggish in throttle resonse with the 14x6 but it was way more speed than i needed, it also died a lot, mabey the 14 is too big for it?

Go ahead and use the 12x6, keep the engine rich for a while, and enjoy
