I am a newbie to the world of model aircraft & I want to buy a cheap trainer plane, one I can learn to fly with & not to expensive.
I have around $310 to spend on everything, the plane, the engine, the controller & servos.
So can anybody recommend a good kit/plane to start out with?
Many Thanx
Zola

Want to build or buy an ARF? It will be hard to get everything new with that budget.
Consider used? Definitely some deals there...
Consider a Parkflyer? I hear the Firebird XL is interesting and certainly in your budget.
As for a beginning plane, there is a lot of advice that has already been said about it. Just do a search on beginner / beginning / first plane.
Sig Kadet LT-40 is a great one to start with too - both in kit form and in ARF, but budget will be an issue with any new plane by the time you add engine and radio...

If you're near a club, your best bet is probably going to be to find a used one someone wants to sell. I've seen very good used trainers go for $200 and less, ready to fly. If you can get an experienced flier to help you buy something, you won't regret it. You also might check the aircraft for sale forum here on RCU.

Welcome to the hobby,
If you can, best thing to do is visit your local hobby shop. There are some planes that come pre-built with the radio and motor already installed. The Hobbico Super Star Select is about $300. It is a fantastic trainer plane. I Have taught several people to fly on this plane and it has proven itself to be a winner. Name brand equipment and a stable flyer.
The local shop will help you find a flying field too.
It is difficult to purchase used stuff unless you really know what your looking at and what to look for OR know the person your buying it from. You never know what is been though.
For you $300.00 bucks, invest in new equipment
