Knoxville TN Hobby Shops
I'm going to be visiting the Knoxville TN area over Thanksgiving and was wondering if there is any good hobby shops to visit in that area. Driving distance isn't a problem if it's worth the trip....Thanks....Gary

[8D]I live approx 60 miles west of Knoxvillle and haven't visited a hobby shop there for a few
years, and, I believe, the one that I visited has now gone out of business.
However, once you get to Knoxville, if you want to travel a bit, there is a hobby shop located
approx 25-30 miles west of Knoxville in a town called Harriman. The name of the hobby shop
is Gadget Hobbies. You get to Harriman by taking I40 west from Knoxville. I don't have
specific directions to the hobby shop once you get to Harriman, but you can call them toll free
at 800 544-6324.

HobbyTown 865-690-1099 I40 Exit 378 to N. Peters Rd, in the Lowes, BestBuy, Staples area. An "everything" hobby shop that has a pretty good R/C section. John Gluck is their R/C plane expert.
M & N Hobbies 865-525-7532; 1923 Brandville Rd. (About 4 miles NE of Knoxville off US11/Rutledge Pike, I40 exit 392) A small, but full, shop behind a the owners house, that mainly deals with R/C.
