Default How do you clean smeared monokote coloring

Hi everyone,

I just started covering my second kit and noticed some smearing happening on the monokote. My first kit used yellow monokote and the sock I used on the iron has some yellow streaks on it. I think this happens when the iron rubs across the edge of the monokote. My current plane is red and I noticed some slight yellow streaks from time to time.

I was wondering what would work best to clean the yellow streaks off the red monokote.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Tom

A very soft cloth, not paper towel, and acetone works everytime. A paper towel will scratch the finish on the Monokote.

The Monokote Trim solvent works too with a Q-tip.
