Default Williams Bros.

I just went to the local hobby shop to get a pilot for my new plane. I did'nt find any and when I asked, was told that Williams Bros. had gone out of business. Is this true? Williams Bros. pilots have been the most popular for as long as I can remember. They'll be missed.

Unfortunately it is true. Williams Bros. has closed up shop due to illness in the family. Hopefully someone will buy the rights/patterns/molds to their products and start making them again.

Yes, it's a shame about Wms. Brothers. I have a question concerning their wheels. I know what the "vintage" wheels look like, but what do their "golden age" wheels look like. Can anyone fill me in?

The Golden age wheels are just about the same as the vintage wheels,Vintage seem to have a spoke like design embossed inthe hub ,The golden age wheels look the best they have more detail like a circle patern with bolt heads in the center and a air valve stem recessed into the rim. I was lucky enough to find a set and at a great price 5.11 for the set from PVHC hobbies.PennValley hobby center. They have a nice newspaper flyer .To get it E mail to[email protected] you could ask BIll there if he found anymore wheels from williams.
