Default Why?

Why when you get a flight pack they give you those useless big round servo attachments for control surfaces. I could really use some single arms. Even the 4 arm servo attachments weren't too bad, I could cut 3 of them off to give me a single arm. Now I may be forced to buy single arm servo attachments seperately.

I dont think I ever used one of those huge round ones yet!

OK, I vented. Feel much better now!

You answered your own question

Because they are sold seperately...and not cheaply either

I have a bag full of those things and I've only used one or two in all the years I've been flying. I think they are good to use on a retract servo because you can put the holes for the pushrods exactly at the spot you need them.

The only way to answer your question is with another question-

How much building do you do?- I find the big round servo attachments extremely valuable for flaps /dive brakes / retracts / rudder nosewheel differential/rudder tailwheel differential / release mechanics ... etc

Stuff you usually don't need with arfs.

Broken has given you a very accurate and elegant single sentance answer: differential. In addition those predrilled small rounds and six point stars allow very simple application of mechanical aileron differential that improves any highwing airplanes tracking as well as most shoulderwing types.

Next time, compare the flight pack to teh cheap 4 ch. complete radio package.

Futaba flight pack is $169 up here (and you still need to buy the crystal)
Futaba 4 ch sky sport is $189. You get teh chrystal, and you get a charger, servo tray, and an extra Tx. Which means you get an extra Tx battery pack, should the original fail (or you are into electrics..) And, teh extra Tx can be used as a buddy box, or plugged in to the PC for the flight sim (witheth proper cable of course..) adn spare parts shoudl the original giombals fail..

You figure out the marketing...

Just hold the big ones up to a sander, shape yourself a single arm and drill a hole.

Well Im using single arms in my 4 star for the elevator and rudder. Maybe I just trade them off with the small rounds ones.

Such problems, problems!

Those round horns work great for wing bolt washers. Just drill out the middle. They are lighter than metal fender washers.

They work great when you use ball joints, you can mount them any distance from the center and put in any differential you want, very usefull.
