Polyurethane Glues
Hello All:
I understand Gorilla Glue is polyurethane glue and that there are other polyurethane glues out there that are comparable but less expensive. Anyone have any comments? I have seen Elmer's Ultimate which is also polyurethane but 4 ounces for the same price as 2 ounces of Gorilla Glue. I also understand that TiteBond has one that acts faster, but nobody said anything about price or strength. Any more on the market and how good are they vs. price? Thanks, folks.

RE: Polyurethane Glues
I've been using Elmer's Poly glue for several years when I assemble my ARFs. For me, it is much easier to use it where the instructions calls for 30-minute epoxy (no mixing required) ie, wing halves, vert/hor stab, firewall, etc. I have no exp with other brands of poly glue. If you decide to use poly, make sure you have the parts tape or pin down tight, the expansion of poly glue will move the parts.
Never had a structural glue failure due to the Elmer's poly glue, just my dumbthumbs.
