Agree 100%. She said, 'you seem to have a lot of stuff(planes and parts) in the garage, I hate to think how much you spend' I just muttered, 'not very much' and left it at that.

Three. If I go quality over quantity three is what the pocketbook will support. That's plenty enough for me anyway.

i have 7 electrics. i'm getting some of my dad's old gas planes ready to fly. he has 5 hanging up in basement that just needs new radio's put in, since he has the old kraft radios from the 70's and 80's, so changing them out for spektrum. he's got a quickie 500 with a KB40 in it, a contender and a skylark which both has an o.s. 60, a QT with a cox motor, and a flying stop sign with an os40. he also has several kits that he got in the late 70's to early 80's that still need to be built, a cougar, snipe 40 and snipe 60, and i don't remember what else he has downstairs. i'm going to build the cougar this winter. my dad used to build the planes and my mom would do the covering. the contender 60 he has in the basement has never been flown, he's won several awards with it in different shows so i'm a bit nervice about flying that one.

I have 4 ready to go, one being recovered right now, one is having the engine repaired, another is in need a a motor. I also have 7 in their boxes waiting to be assembled (Pica 60 size Fw190D, 60 size Top Flite F8F Bearcat, Sterling Stinson 50" wingspan, Dynaflite Butterfly, Sureflite Bird Dog 50" wingspan, 60 size BH P51D Mustang, Ben Buckle Fokker DVIII 50" wingspan). I also had a Robinhood 80 kit but was lost during my move.

I mostly fly my helicopter now as it is easy to find a place close by to fly no matter where I am at. I've thought several times about getting rid of my airplanes except maybe for 1 or 2 but just can't do it. When I go to a hobby store I'm still so tempted to buy a different airplane even though I rarely fly the ones I have. Must be a form of addiction I guess.

I Have one that is flyable, Hobbico Nexstar. Although I do have a Phoenix Dolphin, the engine was taken out for my Nexstar ; once I'm done training I'll put the engine back in.

I've got less than 2 months under my belt. I wrecked my trainer (Nexstar) while #2 (Dolphin) was in the mail. Just ordered #3 (Super Decathlon) and am looking for #4 (Pattern). I thought I was a little nuts looking for my 4th plane already, even though I am starting to fly pattern already. Then I found out there's a guy at my club, who started when I did, just got off the buddy box, and he has 9 planes! I'm allowed to have 4...

Only one flying right now[&o] but I love it!

My wife thinks I am nuts because I going on my 4th airplane. [X(] I told her I bet a lot of people have multiple airplanes. Just curious on average how many working airplanes the typical person here has.

Just ask her about her shoe collection[:-][:-][:-][:-][:-][:-][:-]

I have 3 that fly and one that is being built. Two radios 1 Futuba 12FG 1 Multiplex Evo 9 4 engines 60cc, 100cc, 215 cc radial ( love this monster) 80cc all gassers of course.
33% Waco YMF5
33% Stearman
Giant Aeromaster
25% Stinson SR-10

Now I don't have a wife..been there done that done with it.[X(]

P.S. I do have a nice girlfriend who supports me in this hobby. She was the one who bought the 12FG for me..."just because"

Sometimes wives are tolerable. Over the last 39 years, mine has decorated several planes after I built them, bought several kits at garage sales (Top Flight red box F4U corsair, Flite line Great Lakes Bipe, Midwest (formerly Kenhi) Panther control liner among others) and until her back started going bad (severe osteoarthritis) even stooged for my control liners. Over the last couple years, she has even arrranged for me to provide ship and rocket models for displays at the library where she works.

Sounds like you got a keeper Yesterday a guy came to the field, first time with a new plane and his wife. She was very supportive, and at the end of his maiden flight she retrieved the aircraft from the runway AND CLEANED IT FOR HIM. I gotta find me one of those...
