Hey I just received my Tower Hobby Uproar ARF and noticed that it is a bit different then the kit that I building with my girlfriend. What appreciable flying differences are there between the two versions? I notice the ARF has narrower, but longer ailerons then the kit. The elevator may be a touch smaller as well. I am going over to look at the plans for the kit and compare the two tonight. Does anyone have both or flown both? I am puting a saito .56 in the ARF and Futaba 3151 servos.

Not much help on the ARF, but I have built 3 kits-on the kit, reinforce the wing fuse area with thin strips of lite ply on all four sides and build a hatch towards back for battery to offset the heavier engine or model will be difficult to balance. I also reinforced landing gear on one and used the Goldberg landing gear on the other two. This model is a blast to fly with OS 46 AX, 56 4 stroke ought to be fun also. I would bet the ARF will fly just as well but probably will have same problems of fuse breaking at wing area and be difficult to balance without moving something towards back tail section.

I just recieved my Uproar Arf the other day, i put it together and the guy who i fly with helped me set it up. We ended up cutting the balsa shelf out that was under the servo tray. The square battery pack which i have fits right below the servo tray, this moves some weight back (he says it did not weaken the wing). It looks like tommorrow will be the maiden.
