Default Plane builders

For all interested parties.

If there are people who have as little time as I, and it seems that there are. I have absolutly no time to build although I would enjoy it if I could the only option I have is to have someone build my planes for me. So, I have been looking for some time to get someone to build my planes. While builders tend to want to stay local for shipping and general ease of construction issues I seemed to of found some builders that are more than interested in building for anyone reguardless of location although shipping needs to be worked out ahead of time I found it not to be a big issue at all. These guys are in VA and I live in RI so other than affiliation through a phone call I have none and I trust them to build for me. They are more than knowledable in all aspects of construction including the electrical and linkage and engine installations. They will also go so far as to test fly it for you before shipping it back. The cost is more than resonable but needs to be determined on a one to one basis with whoever ownes the plane. I have all of their contact information if anyone is interested PM my and I can get it to you. The gentlemans name is Carl Jackson and his colleagues. These guys are profesional builders and definatly know what they are doing. I told them I would post on RCU highlighting their services because I believe they are really good people to work with. They also have refrences upon request.
Regards,
Joe.

I for one enjoy building as much as if not more than flying
I did build a sweet GP .40 C/W Cub for a friend a about 5 years ago and it broke my heart when I had to hand the plane over to him. I offered him 3X the money he had in it and he turned me down. I test flew the plane for him and helped him thru the 1st three flights(his 1st time flying a tail dragger) on his 1st solo attempt he destroyed the plane and has been trying for 5 years to get me to rebuild it. I will never build another plane for someone else again, I cant stand to let them go after pouring so much work into them!!

Apalson ---- Sounds like a SUPER deal but I think the shipping would be a bit much. Maybe Joeb has an extra room you could stay in while building here in the States. Would make a good vacation!! Just had to do it. ENJOY!!!!! Red

MY thoughts exactly. It would probably cost less to pay for parts and labor than it would to ship back into the states.
