Default first crash repiring question

hi guys

i had my first accident a few days ago , the engine stoped and my 1/4 extra 300s stalled wen i tried to land on the runway...i was a little to far . i guess that everyone has to crash someday.

id like to know how can i reapir the cowling?.this is my first fiberglass repairing, i thought that maybe i could buy a replacement cowling from towerhobbies but i really want to learn how to do this job. please help me.

Almost anything is repairable it just depends if you feel like spending the time. You'd need some fiberglass cloth, resin, and sand paper. Also you'll need to repaint it. To me that would seem like a lot of work for something I can buy for $30-50. The last time I trashed a cowling I just got a new one but that's just me. If you enjoy fixing stuff and are good at fiberglass then repair it. If not go get a new one and bolt it on (and go flying).

im not that good at fiberglass but i want to give it a try, id like to know what kind of resin do i need. can you give me an exaple?
