This might be a little strange, and possibly I dreamed this and it is not real but......
Back in the late 70's (78,79) There used to be a made for tv movie on cable tv about two kids ( a boy and a girl, who where brother and sister I think) who where solving "mysteries" using rc planes, with the help of an older man who actually got the two into the flying.[:-]
This program is the reason I got interested in the hobby. Now... Like I said this might be a dream I had but I do not think so.
Does anyone have a clue what I am talking about??
If so does anyone have a clue how I could get a copy of this program?
Thanks,
Brett Horton

I seem to recall a movie where two kids in England found out about guys smuggling something across the English channel in a model airplane. They went for help to an older gentleman who supplied them with a pair of .60 size Spitfires. They rigged a dart-firing mechanism on the bottom and managed to 'shoot down' the bad guys airplane with a hit to the fuel tank. Amazing how most people think anyone can fly R/C just by wiggling the sticks. I remember the two kids taking the Spitfires off from an ordinary dirt road!
Probably one of the small influences that got me into R/C. Had to be in the late 60's or 70's.
