Are you talking about the Top Flite Cub (red box) kit that was discontinued in the 80's? Here is a link that will lead you to the manual.

If you've finished this plane please post a pic, I haven't seen one in a LONG time. I've been looking for one of those kits as well so please let me know if you know how to get one.
