Default mufflers

I've got a couple newbie questions.

1. I'm waiting on a muffler from K&B for my old .61. It's on order, but "in process" [:@] If it never shows up, who makes a good replacement that would fit?

2. I just bought a RJL 61 that has a Pitts muffler. What's the difference between the Pitts and any other muffler? Does the Pitts do me any good, or is it just better designed to fit under a cowling?

Thanks

1. ???

2. The pitts mufflers can increase hp on some engines due to better exhaust flow but their primary objective is saving the cowl.

1. Try these guys http://www.macspro.com/onepiece.asp

2. The primary purpose of the pitts muffler is the fit inside a cowl, and yes sometimes you do get a slight performance gain from them.
