Default Evolution 46

Has anyone had any trouble with the carb on this engine - Evolution .46.

The throttle will not go closed. Stops at 1/3 open. I started the engine normally. Flew for 6 to 8 minutes and tried to throttle down to land and it would not go to idle. I probably ruined the servo trying to idle the engine.

I unhooked the servo and no matter what I do the throttle will not close past 1/3 open. It is jammed.

Just wondering if this is a known problem.

I have this engine on my ultra stick and just love the combination.

I plan to call Horizon early next week.

Any help would be appreciated.

Check the idle stop screw on the back of the carb. Loosen it until the barrel will close all the way.

Ditto with WCB. I loosened the stop screw, closed the barrel, then retighten. Had to do it a few times, but finally got it to close. They're sometimes a PITA.

The stop screw doen't seem to have anything to do with it. There must be a spring or something broken in the throttle.

I will call Horizon and see what they say.

Thank you
