over flight

What is the general posture at your club about over flying a neighbor’s home? It doesn’t seem like a wise idea to me. However several in our club seem to think it should be OK even though the neighbor is complaining.

Thanks for your comments.

If that type of flying continues, start looking for a new field quickly.
If that type of flying ceases, then just start looking for a new field.
Once the complaints start, the writing is on the wall. No matter what
you do the complainers will want you gone.

Good luck

I'm with ROBY, your days are numbered! [&o]

Start by evicting the offenders from the club (a good example to be witnessed by all), then apologise to the neighbour and start looking for the new site. []

Point in fact you should have a site that is far enough removed from folks that there is no opportunity to over fly a neighbour's home, barn, business - you are asking for troubles, the law of averages dictates that sooner or later ***** Happens and someone / something will hit the home and then . . . there will be problems! Good Luck!

Its the property owners air space except where required for commerce when you start getting into the FAA areas. Its no different than driving an RC car across his lawn. If he says no fly over then legally you are trespassing.

Either invite him over for a BBQ, let him fly a trainer on a buddy box and hope he/she chills or start scoping out a new field.

On the other side of the coin, he can't keep an airplane if it lands/crashes there, call that cops, get the airplane back, and look for a new field.
