I have a Something Extra with a Webra Speed 50. Engine has been gone through. Sent it in because it didn't run reliable on the Extra. Got it back and same thing. I have two other friends, one with OS and one with another brand engine and they don't run reliable on their Something Extras either. Could it be the tank sits to low in this plane. Any one else having this problem, or no a solution?

Hi jill210,maybe you need different friends, just joking. I own two SE',OS FS 70 up front, been around fifteen to twenty SE's and never heard of this problem.I try to keep me tanks centered with the carb. spray bar because I'm inverted half the time, usually tank center line is even to 3/8" below spray bar.I put 1/4" foam on top of fuel tank then added enough on the bottom so my tank is raised to the top of plane,if ya'll have your engines already plumbed this way, might try different fuel.

i have a s/e. i have an os 46 fx on it. i built it stock. i did have to put 6 ounces in the nose to balance it per the planes. i have since took 1.5 ounces out and it flyes better. i am planing to take more out at a latter. i have had no engine problems with it. i did put some foam over the tank to keep it from moving on me. i am well pleased with it and i have probably 30-40 flights on it. by the way i have only been flying for about 6 months and i think this is a great airplane to learn on. this was the first plan i ever built. i did have some help but i learned a lot building it.
