Default JR 8103 Programming Help

I'm using 2 servos on the elevators of my Laser. I used mix 6. (elevator/aux3) channels. Everything works fine, but if I turn the Aux 3 knob, one elevator works, and if I don't keep it set to zero, the centering on that side will be off. I have the switch choice set to On, and I thought that would turn off the Aux 3 knob. What's the right way or slave channel to use to correct the problem, or will that knob always be live?

You will need to mix aux 3 to itself to cancel out the knob. Look on the Horizon web site support section and there is a good write up on setting up the 8103 just like you are doing along with several other pointers.

I wish they (all radio mfg.) would print a manual in simple terms, not 30 paragraphs of 500 different menus!

The programming info on Horizon's web site is much clearer than the manual. I also tried Til's fix to disable the Aux 3 knob and it worked perfectly.
Thanks everyone

Neat tip til, will have to remember that one.

Jerry, have you looked at the info Horizon posted on the 9303 where they expanded out the explanations in the manual? Lots of good examples of diferent ways to program the radio. Maybe one day it will be the norm.

Mooney, glad to help.
