Is the HS 85BB Micro Servo up to this job?
I wonder if I am asking too much of the Hitec HS 85BB Micro Servo.
I would use two, one on each rudder of a 46 sized F 117. Each rudder is 15 sq. inch.
This servo is rated at 41 oz inch at 4.8 volts, which I believe is sufficent for the load, but
when I look at those small arms, I wonder if the gear train is up to the job.
These fit the setup so nicely, but the last time I used a small servo on a control surface (Goldberg Staudacher), I got flutter. However, those were considerably less a servo than these Hitecs.
What does your experience suggest? Use a bigger servo? Tks, GoNavy.

I think you'll be fine. I've used these and the MG version on much larger surfaces with no problem. The gear train is the weak spot but again I think you'll be fine... if your really worried about it get the MG gear set.

I think they would be fine too. I agree with the advise on the metal gear ones. I have a few of those and they are tough as nails. I would also recomend a 6 volt pack if you are worried about lacking power.
