Hi lacoonassdjciii,
Excellent looking Fokker, Is this the plane you were having trouble covering. With this wing loading, this baby should float right in, of course with all bipes watch the drag factor and keep a little power on. I have my eyes set on a Great Planes Gee-Bee which has a wing loading of 38 oz sq ft, now that would be considered a brick with wings.[]

Colorado flyer. You may have some real concerns flying on a hot, dry and high elevation.

Air density reduction of the prop and wing can gang up on you.

A good local modeler in you area can fill you in on the losses compared to sea level and 70 F.

Take it off on a long paved road the first time. Use a safety spotter.

Do not hand launch a questionable flyer the first time.

Good Morning,
Thanks for the info I have gotten 5 different assessments. I had intentended on hand launch so thanks for the ROG idea. Wondering if I should go for a brushless set up instead of the s 400 2 3 :1 gear I have now???? The wing load at this time is 10 oz./sq.ft. Any suggestions?????

Hi Dennis,

The Fokker will probably fly ok. I see that you already increased the prop length by one inch to compensate for your elevation. I've flown similar setups here in Rochester (years ago) on 24-25oz planes with 40" wingspan.

The geared Speed 400 motors are considered "old school" today because of the heavier weight, lower motor efficiency, and brushes and gears that wear out.

What Lithium cells are you using? It is important to choose a pack that can deliver 10-15 amps continuously.

Good luck!
