Default OS 1.08 vs 1.20

I've got a 1/5 scale Sukhoi nearing completion and I still haven't decided which engine I'm going to put in it. I've got an OS 1.20 four stroke and an OS 1.08, both wanting the job. I've flown both engines but never in the same plane or even similar planes.

Any of you guys have any experience with comparing the two? Specs show the 1.08 with more hp but how do they compare in the real world.

Wing span is 70" and weight will probably be 10 - 11 lbs.

I'm leaning towards toward the 1.08 but mostly because I haven't flown that engine in a dozen years. I'd like as much vertical as I can get.

I have both.. the 1.08 scares me!
I've only flown it in my PT-19.. it was too much power for that. The 1.20 is better suited for the scale-type flying I prefer in the PT.

Your talking about a sukhoi which isn't a Sunday flying slow poke. Put the 1.08 in it and tear up the sky. There is no such thing as too much with it. There a couple guy with a .90 in there's and though it has pletty of power it could use some more.

I also found the 1.08 to be somewhat intimidating while the 1.20 is a real ***** cat. That's something that can be dealt with. As Red said this is supposed to be a fire breather. I've ordered the Pitts muffler needed for the 1.08

I've used my two 1.08's on a variety of aircraft and LOVE 'EM! Easiest starting two-stroker I ever owned. And yes, it has power -lots of it, and it is also connected to a throttle servo
