My Ikarus sim the left stick controls the throttle,airolons. The right stick controls the elevators, rudder. My trainer is left stick rudder, throttle and the right stick is elevator, rudder. Which is correct? Thanks

for mode 1 the left stick controls elevator and rudder, the right controls ailerons and throttle. (I'm pretty sure).

for mode 2 the left is throttle and rudder, the right is ailerons and elevator.

I don't understand? So I train on thr sim and go fly thr trainer, and of course muscle memory will cause me to crash. So, again which is correct? Thanks

You can choose which mode to fly. Most people in the USA are mode 2. (some fly both ways).

There is probably a way to set your sim to mode 2. It looks like it's set for mode 1.

You definitely want to practice and fly in the same mode.

OH one more thing....

If you choose mode 1, you will have a much harder time finding an instructor. There are just fewer people who fly mode one in the USA, but there are some.

Your plane has rudder control on both sticks with no aileron control? I assume that is a typo and your planes right stick controls elevator/aileron. If so, your sim is set-up with mode 4 (a flip-flopped mode 1) and your plane is mode 2. Mode 4 is very rare in the the US (and probably anywhere). Mode 2 (left - thr/rud, right - elev/ail) is the predominant mode in the US. You definately want both to be the same or you will be inviting disaster.

Mode 1: Left - elevator/rudder Right - throttle/aileron
Mode 2: Left - throttle/rudder Right - elevator/aileron
Mode 3: Left - elevator/aileron Right - throttle/rudder
Mode 4: Left - throttle/aileron Right - elevator/rudder
