Darned UPS.... [:@]

Goldberg Extra 330 77".
The outer cardboard box had a hell of a smash in it, and so did the airplane's box underneath.
Sure enough, the cowl inside took a shot to the left cheek.

I looked everything else over, it all seems ok.
I took photos of the box before I even undid the packing tape.

Is it a pretty straightforward procedure with Tower to get this part replaced?

Tower is great to work with for replacements.

Yes they are..!!
I just hung up with Customer Service, and they're sending me a whole new plane...>!!
I told her only the cowl was damaged, she said "Just keep the first one for now, UPS will come pick it up within 2 weeks."

So it's a bit annoying that I'm delayed a week waiting for the replacement airplane, but they did do everything that a guy could ask.

i shipped a p51d mustang plane and it was damaged badly by the UPS[:@]. the elevator was bent in pieces and the wing is mashed....i prefer fedex casue they take care the boxes carefully....

Save the parts if you can. This is a great flying plane but if you land it hard the gear will tear out the bottom of the fuse. the gear is attached to the main support for the engine and the wing tube by L brackets. It might be worth using nylon bolts instead of the supplied bolts and lock nuts

I also received a plane (GP Extra 300s 1.60) shipped via UPS a week or two ago and the box was smashed. My claim with UPS is still not resolved. I have never had any trouble with Fedex either.
