I have an OS46AX engine on a SIG Kadet LT40 trainer. The engine has about 5 gallons of fuel run through it and has been running fine.
I noticed to-day that when I remove the glo-plug igniter battery after starting it the engine speeds up about 200 rpm.
I remember reading somewhere stating what causes this but can't find it now.
Does anyone have an answer for me. It is still running fine but I am curious as to why it is doing this now.

Speeds UP??? Very often the drop a few RPM. If the drop is severe it's usually a sign that the low end is rich, but I've never heard of one GAINING RPM.
