Default Need Help - Unreliable Smart Fly optical switch

Ok, so I have the Smart Fly optical switch. I have an odd problem with it. If I fully deflect the rudder and then let the gimbals on the radio return to the neutral position on their own by taking my thumb of the rudder stick, every now and again the smart fly optical switch will shut off (green light goes off) for about a half second and then switch back on. I have the rudder plugged i to a 9 channel receiver in the third channel. The ignition failsafe is plugged into channel 5. Any thoughts what is going on? I've tried two separate receivers and both exhibit the same problem. I've bypassed the switch and the problem does not crop up. I guess my radio could be at fault by triggering the toggle switch I've assigned to the switch but I kind of doubt that. There is absolutely no glitching of any of the control surfaces.

Thanks!

John

Check to ensure that the fiber optic cable is fully engaged in the connectors. I had one side squirm out just a tad; and that's all it takes to break the circuit. Really tighten the coupler; mine was still snug but allowed the cable to back off a bit.
