Default Ultracote Source?

Tower dropped Ultracote, Hobby Lobby dropped it (labelled Oracover), Horizon is out of stock of colors and my usual source, Quantum Models, has not answered the phone for two days after I had difficulty ordering over the web. Any suggestions for dealers?

Since Horizon is the exclusive US importer, and everyone else gets it from them, it's going to be tough.

I was at Roy's Hobby Shop in Hurst TX last week and they had a pretty good selection

They have a website www.royshobby.com but it pretty much says 'give us a call'
The 'online store' link is just a portal to Horizon so it is worthless to you since you already know they're out of stock.

They're closed on Sunday and I have no idea if they do mail order.

A phone call is cheap enough to find out if they can help you.

Success. I tried Horizon by telephone and they had the colors I needed. Their website was somewhat misleading showing the Ultracote as not due in for a while. Thanks carellh for your suggestion.

P.S. To avoid generating any rumors about Quantum Models, they did call me today and apologized for not being able to handle the telephones for a couple of days. (And they do have Ultracote in stock.)

Are you talking about paint or the covering? I tried to order paint from Chief Aircraft and they stated all of the paint was out of stock as Ultracote was reformulating the whole line.

Why did you imagine that I did not do that first? My excellent hobby shop no longer carries Ultracote so I must go elsewhere. Satisfied?
