Kind of like "It must be true, I read it on the internet"??

The rumor may well have started when someone called the phone numbers and they weren't answered or the message said that the number had been disconnected. I believe that Gordon even explained in a column that the phone company screwed the moose during the move by having the wrong message on the old number.

Well, my last issue was for October 2006; I guess the November issue isn't due as yet? Jim B

Gordon and Company have just purchased a new home/office close by Huntsville AL. The new town is called Madison. Gordon explained the move at length in the last several issues, and I just received my latest issue last week. I think that the reports of the death of RC Report are premature and highly exaggerated. Of course, I'm no expert on Gordon Banks, but I basically distrust anything that I read in a competitor's magazine when in regard to the health of another publisher. Y'all thought I was going to say something snide about Fly RC, since it is primarially an electrics magazine didn't you? Naw, I won't make any snide remarks about the sparky book.

I just E-mailed a Mr. Gordon Banks. And told him about this thread. Maybe he will answer himself. Myself i highly doubt the magazine folded.

Great minds.....
Here's the text of the email that I sent to Gordon this morning...

Gordon – In case you haven’t yet seen or heard about the rumor that RC Report no longer exists, you may want to check out the following link http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_48...tm.htm#4899212

Perhaps you will want to directly contribute to the discussion and state the facts.

The fact is that you still exist, right? I hope so!

I'm sure Dick Pettit would have commented on this by now if it was true.

I just got a personal e-mail from a Gordon Banks. And he says the only way he knows of was the November issue went out late due to his working on his new workshop. Decembers issue will go out on time. and their is no way they are out of business. The rumor is totally unfounded.

Have a nice day and renew your subscriptions without fear

I love RC Report, too. Mr. Pettit seems to be an unbiased, fair and honest gentleman, and he is one of the main reasons I subscribe. I have bought many items based on his reviews, and avoided other items for the same reason.

I don't know what I would do without RC Report. Gordon and Dick and the rest of the crew are the only writers I trust. Although I do question the validity of some of Gordon's stories

I can see why someone said FlyRc reported this. After reading RcReport, I subscribed for two years. I'm dropping Fly Rc because they focus so much on electrics. If I wanted all the articles on electric I would subscribe to electric flyer or something like that. Nothing wrong with the occassional electric or occassional electric article mind you, but I prefer glow and gas. I never saw an electric that did'nt bore me to death after about 20 or 30 minutes. I guess if all the full scale were electric it might be different... I have received two issues of RcReport now and have become very fond of their work.

I've been getting R/C Report since it was in a newspaper format. If something happened and I could no longer receive it I might have to give up R/C and take up chasing wimmen.

It's just like all the negative campaign ads on the TV these days. When a candidate feels he/she is losing, negative false ads are run about their opponent. Here in Illinois the Govenor's race is getting real ugly.
