Very well? Seriously, they are terrific for certain applications, and I assume you are asking more than you say. They are easy to use, because they need only the smallest slot to slide into; one slot on the fixed section, and opposite it on the moving section, is the other slot. You can cut hinges to a suitable width, then cut off the sharp corners to help them slide into the slots. Test fit the hinges all together at once before glueing. These hinges are designed to absorb CA glue, and thus glue themselves into the slot. You will only have one second before the glue sets, so be careful. Bend the control surface one way, and drop (not too much now) a couple of drops on all exposed hinges in the crack. Flip surfaces over, bend contol surface the opposite way to once again expose a narrow piece of hinge between the surfaces. Again place two drops on each hinge, and wipe up any excess with tissue, while working the surfaces to prevent them binding.

I don't flex them as they are "setting". I figure I'd rather have a solid attachment and I can always "pop" the covering lose afterwards. It usually doesn't stick, and with doped fabric I just wipe paste wax and buff it along the hinge line before slotting the hinges in.

The trick about the drill channel to make sure the CA penetrates the full depth is a good one, also.

And BTW, the drill hole is not really needed if the hinges are the type with a slot cut in the center.
