Mechanical Retracts
I bought a pattern plane that was on consignment at the LHS. It flies like a champ, but the nose gear retract broke on one of the landings. The retracts are hard to get to as they were built around, and I will have to cut holes in the nose to get at it.
My Question, I have no clue what retracts I have. they are white plastic mechanical retracts. Once I yank the old one out of the fuse, I will attach a photo. But any links on different mechanical retracts, past and present? Photos?
Thanks
~Eric

RE: Mechanical Retracts
The guide rail that sets the strut. (Best I can describe) I tried reglueing with pins and melting the plastic, but no luck. They do look like sturdy retracts, but a closer look showed that one of the breaks was diry. This tells me that it had been cracked for some time now.
For my first flight with this plane I locked down the retracts and didn't hook them up as i could not get the nose gear to lock down. It will retract just fine, but it seems that the servo doesnt have the torque to pull it off. but judging the servo tray and the airframe in general, it looks like its worked before.
