HI Everyone I was wondering if any of you might know of a web site about a rc model version of the v-22 ospray.I've always liked this plane but never really thought about building one. After I saw a photo on the RCUniveres home page ,a had converted a foam cesna style plane ,sparked my intrest again.

I saw a model at the Toledo Expo in '05. Don't know if it ever flew. My son is a flight line mechanic on them for the Marines. Based on what I have seen and I have about 3 hours in the flight simulator, it will be very difficult to model one to hover and then transition to level flight. On the real one, the computers take over during transition to keep the bird flying. We have talked about building a model and have come to the conclusion that electric is the way to go for this plane. Again, the biggest problem to solve is the transition from hover to level flight and back again. You could build one that didn't transition, but you could not put scale rotor blades on it. The full scale V22 must land in hover mode or the rotor blades will strike the ground.
