Default Ace Bingo Canopy

I did an inverted landing (okay, it was a crash) with my Ace Bingo and I've repaired everything but I can't seem to find a new canopy. It's the 40-60 size Bingo with a 70 inch span.

Does anyone know of a source that I could get a new canopy? Or is there another kind, from another plane, that can be made to fit?

Thanks in advance.

I have no idea what an Ace Bingo looks like but I do know Sig sells a range of canopies. Maybe they have one that would work.

I would bet the canopys from the Sig 4-star series would work since they are virtually the same airplane
Good luck

What you might do is next time your at the Super-Market, start looking at the plastic jars, and bottles, and seeing what kind of shapes you can get out of them. Have an open mind and you'll pick out a whole bunch of different shapes of canopies. I've done this with excellent results, and it costs nothing except for the cost of the item. Bring it home and stow it something else, sneak off to shop and make your canopy. Just a thought here, it might work for you, it got me a real decent canopy for nothing

I used a Sig canopy on my plan built "Bingo" I'm not sure which one but think it was CK-223. I am rebuilding a "Bingo" and another "4-60" that is a sholder wing version of the "Bingo" so will let you know if it is something other than the CK-223.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I should have included the canopy dimensions, which are 3.5 inches tall 3.5 inches wide and 7 inches long. A Bingo looks kind of like a Sig 4 star 60 but has a higher upright turtle deck.

I have scanned the supermarkets looking for plastic jugs but so many have swirls and logos molded into the plastic. The best I could find was a 2 liter pop bottle which I tried to make into a canopy but it sets at a weird angle and looks okay, but not great.

Bingo Flyer, I looked on the Sig web page and the 4 star 60 canopy is CK273. There is no CK223 that I could see. Unfortunately, the ‘details’ on each canopy (on the Sig web page) is ‘made of strong durable plastic’ and no picture. My buddy is building a 4 star 60 and I think I’ll run over to his house with my Bingo and see how that canopy fits.

Maybe Sig stopped making the CK-223, that was what I used when I originally built the "Bingo". They may have just changed the numbers, if my memmory serves me it was a canopy for a Zin. I am going to reuse the one I have (don't have a hobby shop near by). Good luck.
