After about 3 or so years out of the hobby I got back in this year and started the season flying my CG Extra 300 powered by a Magnum .91. I flew it several times before I even started working on my Seagull Edge 540 V2 powered by a Super Tigre 90.
This is my first arf, believe it or not after what would be 12 years in the hobby, and for a product of viet nam, I dont have many complaints with it.
Anyway, this has two servos for the elevator, one in each aileron, one for the rudder and of course one for the throttle. I have strictly flown JR, and my trusty PCM 8103dx was about to get put to the test for using its potential.
The ailerons are mixed to the flaps, no problem. I opted not to use a Y-harness, because in time I plan to explore the realms of 3D with this plane while I build a bigger model over the winter.
The Elevator on the other hand has me stumped. The servos face eachother, and if you look at the bottom of the fuselage, nose down, the servos look just opposite of one another, servo arm same location opposite side. I couldnt figure out why they rotated opposite directions when I pulled back on the stick... then i discovered that my wing type was set to STANDARD. So in I went, changed it to DELTA and there we have a winner, it went up and down like its supposed to.
For whatever the reason, I cleared the memory to start over from scratch, to have everything centered and ready to go so the initial flights/testing/trimming can be done with a good base. Whatever I did made the elevators not work right once I put the wing type back to delta. I can't find my owners manual to walk me through this so hopefully someone out there can give me some help getting this straightened out.
THE ENGINE: The engine was purchased off ebay, said little use, and I believe it. Almost no tarnish anywhere, clean insides, and well lubricated. IM having trouble picking a prop to fly it. I have an APC 14x4WIDE blade that I have intended to use, because i know that wont make the plane a rocket ship, just not for sure if that's the best for an 8 or 9lb airplane.

G'day Mate,
Ok first things first, set your wing type to "Flapperon", I'm assuming you have a JR RX, plug right aileron into "ail" slot, & left aileron into "aux1", of the RX, adjust servo direction with servo reverse function if needed. That's the ailerons taken care of.
Now for the elevators, plug right elevator into "elev" slot, & left elevator into aux2 slot, of the RX, now go to mixing, & use a trim include mix, either mix 5 or 6, see page 47 to page 49 in your manual.
Your master channel will be Elevator & your slave will be "Aux2", set switch position to "ON" so there is no switch involved, & you can't accidently turn it off during flight, also mix will be 100% so you get even travel up & down. And you must set the throws for elevator & aux2 to the same amount, ie 100%, or 150% whatever as long as they are the same. So that the servos will match each other's throw amount.
Then READ your manual as you play with it, that's how I learnt to program my X378 & DX7, but do all this at home, where you have time, no pressure & no distractions.
Best of luck,
As for your ST90, supertigre suggest a 11x8 to a 13x7, prop range, sounds like a gutless engine to me, I'm running a 12x8 on my OS 61FX, on my Diabolo, & it screams, & that is towards the top of the ST90 prop range.

I have the Seagull Edge V2 powered by a Magnum 91XLS with a 15X6 prop, and I really like it. I don't have first hand experience with the ST 90, so I can't recommend that prop for it. I will, however recommend against the 14X4W prop. That is a good prop for a plane with a nice thick airfoil like a Twist or stik or other fun fly plane. The Edge needs just a bit more speed than a 4"pitch provides with that size prop. You might try a 14X6 and see how the engine/airframe likes it. I don't know if your ST 90 likes to rev or turn a larger prop.
It's a good plane, I'm sure you will like it.

I called Horizon to get a new manual, I still can't come up with mine! I've almost got it working correct, the elevators go up and down as they should, and with the elevator servo as master, it moves just a tad slower than the auxiliary servo... the aux servo hits full throw before the elevator does... almost by 3/16" of an inch.
The reviews I've seen of this plane basically say it's underpowered with a .90... it's almost hard to believe because my CG extra is almost a pound heavier with a magnum 91. it weights right at 8.5 lbs dry. I need to weigh this edge after I get everything strapped in but it seems like it would be a rocket with anything 90 and above!
For those of you that have flown this, does it have any bad tendencies? I fly off grass mainly, and I'm not at all happy with the wheels/pants provided with the kit. Not too much of a deal, as I have larger rubber tires, but the pants really set these birds off in my opinion, just hate to not have them. I'll be doing the test flight in a week or so on a paved area, so i'll be alright except for the Landing gear, i hear they are somewhat flimsy. Seems like this will be a real good plane to have fun with. Still wish I had my GP 1/4 Patty Wagstaff Extra though!
Thanks for all your help gang! This site has came such a long way!
