newbie needs help setting up brushless motor with esc
Hi There,
I bought:
E-flite 25 amp pro brushless esc
E-flite park 400 outrunner
Hi Tec Ranger II N Radio
Venom 1800 NiCD battery
7.2 Volt 2-3 hour charger
I charged the battery and plugged it all in but can't get any motor power. I get the beep sequence from the ESC when I plug in the battery and I can move servos, but the motor won't budge. Any hints would be greatly appreciated, I'm dying to see this setup work. I'm sorry if I left out an relevant info, not really sure what I am doing yet.
Thanks,
Tim

Make sure the throttle AND TRIM are all the way off. (MOST ESC will not start the motor unless everything is in the off position ).
WITHOUT A PROPELLOR, try the throttle. (This is for safety.)
If the motor does not start/run, reverse the throttle in the transmitter and try it again. It should run now.
