Hi fellows.

This is ANgel from Spain:

Any ideas how to remove syntetic or acrylic paint from a transparent canopy?

Thanks in advance

Yes Brake fluid works verry well. sometimes it will remove paint in as little as a few hours. i have not yet a found a plastic that will harm either.

I just found this string a few weeks ago after I had purchased a 15 year old fuselage for a Midwest Extra 300S that had a large "splat" of an unknown grey paint right on top of the canopy. I tried this method of removing the paint and am happy to report it worked like a charm. I dabbed on some Dot 3 brake fluid with a "Q" tip daily and after about 4 days noticed that the paint was softening and I could peel layers of it off with a #11 exacto blade. the canopy wasn't affected either so this really works! It sure beats the heck out of trying to find another canopy for this old bird.
Thanks to Aerowolf for sharing!

All the more reason not to spill brake fluid on the finish of your car. It works just as well there....
