Default Anyone have first-hand LADO experience?

Hi guys...

I am planning Lado electric retract actuators in my TF GS P-51D and want to know if anyone has first-hand, real world experience with these units.

Thanks

Goose

Goose:

I have a set for my TF GS P51 but have not yet installed them as I am just getting ready to build.

I have installed the units into the Robarts replacing the air cylinders (no biggie here) and had set
one unit up on a test board to see how it worked and play with the controller. Looked good to me
and appeared to work as advertised. Played around with the up/down delay on the controller and
that worked fine.

Can't give any info on how they will hold up in actual operations. I can say that they are a first
class product and certainly look good.

I am going to run mine on 4.8V.

That is the sum of my knowledge at this time.

Good stuff, thanks for the info Dan...

I just spoke to Doug at Lado and the new controller is still a little ways off after losing a gear manufacturer for the gearbox. They have purchased the equipment to do it themselves and had to move to a bigger shop to cater for it.

Its a good thing in that the product is made in house and is not subject to delays beyond their control.

The 5/8th actuator is getting the electronics added to it as we speak (new version) and should be available late January.

I will update my build thread with Lado info as it happens...
