Default looking for more warbird options

Does anybody know where to find rc warbirds other than towerhobbies? I am looking to build something like a mig3 or a yak 11.

I think VQ makes a Mig-3 ARF. If I remember right it has pre-printed covering which I really don't care for but it may still be a good plane. Hobby people carries them. Also, take a look at www.redstarrc.com. They have a Yak-3 and laGG-3 kit.

Thanks for the help!...and nope I wasn't kidding. I have had a hard time trying to find warbirds online that are not the typical american ones. I like to see what is all out there!

spitfire66,

Take a look at [link=http://www.kmp.ca/]KMP[/link] (Kondor Model Products). I think they may have a couple to choose from that are not typical American ones.

Check Ebay. Occasionally they have some SkyShark (Heritage) kits. I regret not getting the SkyShark Achi Val when it was available.

A place to take a look might be precisioncutkits (dot) com. I have never used them but a pretty extesive list of stuff.

I like the VQ warbirds line. I have a Macchi 205 that is a great flier. The Mig-3 has the same wing. Thomas at VQWarbirds.com is a great person to work with. The plane already has pre-installed retracts. For the price, it is a good deal. THey fly great with a .70 4S.

Do a google search for Red Star R/C. They have a Yak 9 (IIRC) and a LaGG 3. I am building the LaGG right now and it is a well-done laser cut kit.

The yak3 from redstar is a nice plane. I just finished one. Keep it light and its a nice sport scale plane with good lines.
