Just curious why people use Photobucket and then link (or hotlink) their pics from there to here, when RCU allows you to upload picture directly into your posts?
Not really a question, more of a rant that begs the question.

Not really an answer, more of a response
A couple of reasons come to mind.
- If they are at work (surely no one browses non-work related websites from work) they may not have the pictures on their work computer but may have them on Photobucket.
- They may not have the relevant pictures on their computer anymore. I have pictures on PhotoBucket that I have moved off of my computer and archived. For example, if someone wants to see a F4U Corsair gunsight, I would provide the PhotoBucket link. Sure I could go there myself and download it (or go find my archive DVD) and then upload it, but the link would be quicker.
- Some forums do not allow pictures to be uploaded or the size is limited. Not everyone has the ability (software or knowledge) to scale them down.
RCU is one of the better sites in my opinion because they are very accommodating as far as file uploading.

I agree with you, I was just having a 'moment' [:@] here at work, looking at someone's post and getting the little red "x" 'cause PB is blocked on the government computers. [>:]
